West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey and 15 other states sent a letter to the Securities and Exchange Commission opposing its proposal to require climate change disclosures from regulated companies. The letter contends these requirements are not necessary for the protection of markets and the market is already responding voluntarily to investors’ interests in these topics.
